Beyond the Coral: My Con Dao Wreck Diving Experience with Amadive Con Dao.|Diving a Sunken Ship in Vietnam: An Adventure with the Amadive Team.|The Ghost Ship of Con Dao: My Wreck Dive with Amadive Con Dao.
When I planned my scuba diving trip to Con Dao, I was picturing beautiful coral reefs. And I found them. But I saw something on the Amadive itinerary: **A Shipwreck Dive**. My pulse leaped. This wasn't just a typical reef dive; this was an adventure into the past.
Honestly, I was a bit nervous. Diving a wreck requires extra care. But the crew at **Amadive** was fantastic. Their Divemasters provided a very thorough safety briefing. We discussed safety protocols, the story of the wreck, and what to expect below. Being in a small group immediately made me feel confident.
Going down was surreal. At first, it was just a dark shape in the distance, and then the structure came into view. It is enormous. The ship is now a thriving artificial reef, covered in soft corals and teeming with marine life. I spotted big groupers check here peeking from inside the hull, and schools of fusiliers hiding in the cracks. That feeling of gliding next to this giant, silent vessel was hard to describe—eerie, beautiful, and humbling all at once. It's a time capsule on the seabed.
If you're an Open Water diver (or higher) visiting Con Dao and looking for something more the standard reef, I cannot recommend this **dive** highly enough. It was the absolute highlight of my diving trip. A huge thank you to the **Amadive** team for their expertise and for making this incredible experience so safe.
